Neunhof bei Kraftshof is first mentioned in 1246, when Heinricus de Nova Curia (who thus named himself after the place, but this does not yet presuppose a fortified seat) and his wife Mechthild von Braunsbach donated a meadow near Neunhof to the predecessor of the Nuremberg Poor Clares convent.
