Nudersdorf Castle

The origins of the estate date back to 1548 when Chancellor Dr. Gregorius Brück was enfeoffed with the village of Nudersdorf by Elector Moritz of Saxony. Brück erected an estate with two wings arranged at right angles. After his death, ownership changed hands several times, including to the von Leipzig family. During the Thirty Years' War, the estate was severely damaged. In the early 18th century, around 1703, Wilhelm Heinrich Löser undertook structural renovations, giving the castle its present external appearance. After further changes of ownership, including the von Leyser family, the estate was converted into an inheritable property in 1803.
