Schloss Oberambach, an estate in Upper Bavaria, lies at an altitude of approximately 645 meters above sea level. Originally a farm, it was transformed into a manor and now serves as a hotel on Lake Starnberg.

History+

The first documented mention of the Oberambach estate dates back to 1476 in the Imperial Archives, when it belonged to the Schäftlarn Monastery. Later, in 1574, ownership transferred to the Bernried Monastery. A change occurred on October 18, 1869, when Franz Freiherr von Lobkowitz and his wife Marie Therese acquired the estate and converted it into a manor.
