Oberbechingen Castle, a three-story building with a gabled roof, is located in the Bavarian district of Dillingen an der Donau. It is now privately owned.

History+

The origins of the current castle date back to 1584, when Casper Roth von Schreckenstein commissioned its construction. The estate changed hands several times. Initially, it passed to the noble family Tänzl von Trazberg, who also administered the associated Hofmark Oberbechingen. Later, the Counts of Pappenheim took possession of the castle estate before selling it in 1925. During World War II, the building was forcibly used as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers.
