Oberhof Castle
In the municipality of Neunkirch in the canton of Schaffhausen, Switzerland, lies Oberhof Castle, also known as Neunkirch Castle. It once served as an administrative seat and now houses the local museum.
History+
Originally, the castle served as the bailiwick seat for the Bishop of Constance before later passing into the possession of the city of Schaffhausen and serving as a residence for its bailiffs. While the gate tower and the surrounding wall date back to the Middle Ages, the other parts of the building were constructed in the 16th century.
