Obersiebenbrunn Castle

Main Building

The Baroque four-wing building features a south-facing, projecting, and elevated gate tower with a triangular crowning, resembling a risalit. Above the rusticated ground floor on the south side are windows with rhythmically arranged window pediments. The other facades are simpler in design, the sides also with a central risalit tract.

The building is a protected monument.

Outbuildings: Riding Stable, Priest's House, Granary, Gardener's House

On both sides of the castle lies the economic area of the castle estate. Here are:

• The riding stable, an elongated oval wooden building
• Several outbuildings, a row of elongated, predominantly single-story buildings at the western end of the area. The address is still named "In den Stübeln" after these.
• The Hungerturm (Hunger Tower), the old building of the manorial jurisdiction
• The foremost, market-side building of the row is the Priest's House, a two-story building from the second half of the 18th century with simple facade articulation and Josephine window grilles. The octagonal central chimney of the pyramid roof is charming.
• East of the castle stands the Granary, a massive but simple two-story storage building from the 18th century.
• At the southeast end of the castle area is the Gardener's House, single-story, its original substance no longer legible due to renovation.

Outbuildings with Hungerturm, Priest's House, Granary, and Gardener's House are also listed as monuments; some of the outbuildings are used by the riding club.

Park Grounds

Prince Eugene had the Baroque park north of the castle, through which eight star-shaped avenues emanate from a pavilion, laid out around 1725 by the well engineer and garden architect Dominique Girard (c. 1680–1738). The complex, intended for hunting, was part of Eugene's land development in the Marchfeld, which also included Schloss Hof and Schloss Niederweiden.

The former Baroque park, one of the most important Baroque hunting park complexes in Austria, is protected as a nature reserve under the Lower Austrian Nature Conservation Act. It is also designated as a garden monument, Obersiebenbrunn Castle Park (formerly Baroque hunting park), in accordance with the Monument Protection Act.

In the vicinity of the castle are green spaces and former water basins.

Garden Pavilion

Within the park grounds is a Baroque garden pavilion. The oval garden pavilion, designed by Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt (1668–1745) in 1728 and reminiscent of a Turkish tent, is the center of the hunting star.

The elliptical building with a mansard hip roof is dominated by four rectangular portals and symmetrically arranged windows in between.

In the small hall, the horizontal cornice structures the rich grotesque paintings created by Jonas Drentwett. These are depictions of rural and hunting life.

The building was fundamentally renovated in 1965 and is also a protected monument.
