Oesterholz Castle

At the end of the 16th century, Count Simon VI had the Oesterholz hunting lodge built. The residential building of the castle is preserved. The two-story half-timbered building has been used as a retirement home since 1929. In the middle of the 17th century, the castle was extended by Hermann Adolf. These new buildings were already demolished in 1770. The remains of these buildings were used for the construction of the "Zur Rose" spa house in Bad Meinberg.
