Hotel
Ort Castle

History of the Building+
The building of today's hotel was first mentioned around the year 1200 as "Veste Ort". Until the construction of Veste Niederhaus, the castle building served a protective function against attacks from the east. After being temporarily used as the seat of the district judge and as a prison, the 800-year-old building has been run as a hotel and restaurant since 1873.
