Parpan Castle

The Schlössli is a building constructed around 1550 in Parpan in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland.

The "Schlössli" was built by the Hartmannis family. Hartmann von Hartmannis was Landammann of the Churwalden judicial community in 1584 and 1598, and governor of Valtellina in 1593.

Because Paul Buol married Margaretha von Hartmannis, the Schlössli came into the possession of the Buol family in 1603.

Under the new owner, the Schlössli was expanded to its current form with a cross-gable roof, octagonal dome turret, and balcony by 1675. Since 1875, the house has belonged to the Weber family from Chur, who extensively renovated it. In the southwest room on the second floor, there are paintings by Hans Ardüser from 1591; Salome, the creation of the world, and medallions of the patron Hartmann von Hartmannis and his wife Anna von Planta. The rooms are richly paneled and equipped with tiled stoves.
