The name Perchinseo (Pirkensee) first appears in a list of the oldest villages from the year 1062. However, the oldest known depiction of Pirkensee dates only from around 1600. It shows a castle with a two-story building, a gabled roof, a slender tower, and a wall with a gate passage.
