Polenz Castle was built in 1720 by the Lords of Trebra-Lindenau. In 1892, Curt von Trebra-Lindenau was the owner of the castle. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. After this, the castle served as a military hospital and a refugee shelter.
