History+

The former moated castle was built on the site of the present castle by the Lords of See. The castle and village remained in their possession until the 15th century. Thereafter, the castle and the estates of Polsingen came under the feudal suzerainty of the Margrave of Ansbach. The overlords included the Barons of Wöllwarth, who had the parish church built in 1595. In 1866, the present castle was built.
