Prantshausen Castle, with origins dating back to the Merovingian period, is now a hotel in Bad Aibling at an elevation of approximately 483 meters above sea level and defines the townscape with its baroque facade.

History+

The earliest foundations of Prantshausen Castle date back to around 600 AD. The Sedlhof Prantshausen was first documented around 800, with a presumed connection to the family of Prant. The building is considered the birthplace of the blessed Rathold of Aibling, whose depiction can still be seen on the north facade.
