Prez vers Noreaz Castle

Prez vers Noreaz Castle was built in the 18th century by the von Féguely family, an influential noble family with various branches in the canton of Fribourg. After the extinction of the von Féguely branch in Prez, the castle passed into the possession of the Roth-Fehr family from Burgdorf. In 1891, the municipality of Prez acquired the property to establish schools there. Following extensive renovations, the castle was classified as a historical monument in 1969. In the same year, the municipality sold the castle to the Savings Bank of Prez, Corserey and Noréaz, which, after further alterations, used it as a bank branch. Since 1990, the Bank of Prez has been housed in the historic premises of the castle.
