Quadenhof Castle in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim is an example of late medieval brick architecture and is among the few preserved secular buildings of its kind in the Düsseldorf region. Originally conceived as a fortified noble residence.

History+

The construction of Quadenhof took place between 1427 and 1436, commissioned by Godert von Broichhusen. The estate later received its name from the Quad von Raede family, who acquired it through marriage in 1458. The building was constructed in the Late Gothic style as a three-story, rectangular brick structure with a steep gabled roof.
