Die Anfänge
Das Schloss Radmannsdorf (also: Schloss Ratmannsdorf) is located in the district capital Weiz in Styria. The castle was built from 1555 to 1565 by Otto von Radmannsdorf. From 1623 to 1773, the castle was used by the Jesuit order. In 1782, Count Khevenhüller-Metsch von Thannhausen acquired the castle. From 1842 to 1858, the building was used as a military cadet school. From 1859, the castle was owned by the municipality of Weiz, today it belongs to BIG and is the seat of the Weiz District Court.
