In central Sweden, on the northern shore of Skedviken, lies Rånäs Castle. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages, but its current appearance is due to redesign in the 19th century.

History+

The origins of the estate date back to 1388, when the original manor, once owned by Karl Ulfsson of Tofta, passed to the Diocese of Uppsala. In 1559, Gabriel Kristiernsson Oxenstierna acquired the property. A change occurred in 1674 when J. V. Lützow became the owner and had the first castle built.
