History+
The origins of the current castle date back to an earlier Truchsess castle that was destroyed by a fire in 1642. Between 1714 and 1719, the current building was erected on the same site. Johann Dientzenhofer realized the castle according to the designs of his brother Leonhard on behalf of Wilhelm Philipp von Schrottenberg. The complex has a decorated facade, a high mansard roof, and an armorial gable.

Today, Reichmannsdorf Castle houses a golf club and a hotel. It continues to be inhabited by the von Schrottenberg family.
