Richardshoven Estate+

The moats that once surrounded the Richardshoven estate are still clearly visible on the west and south sides. The moats have been filled in and integrated into the garden design at the main house.

The main house from the 17th century - anchor pins on the characteristic square tower show the year 1667 - is surrounded by farm buildings modernized in this century, forming an irregular quadrangle. In 1099, a Richard von Embe is attested, after whom the estate is said to be named. In 1364, a Godart von Richardshoven appears in the sources. In the following centuries, various noble families owned the estate. Since 1820, Richardshoven belonged to the Bayer family.
