History+

The origins of Rodeck Castle lie in a fortified complex that emerged between the 11th and 13th centuries, associated with the Lords of Röder. The castle's current appearance dates back to 1879, when a new building was constructed on the old foundations. Under the direction of architect Kessler, the then-owner, Senior Appellate Court Councillor Heinrich Friedrich Schliephacke, had the complex rebuilt in the Neo-Renaissance style.
