Röhrsdorf Castle

The first documented mention of a manor at this location dates back to 1436. The castle itself is first mentioned in 1583. In the 16th century, ownership passed to the von Bernstein family, followed by the Lords of Neitschütz towards the end of the 17th century. In 1741, the von Carlowitz family acquired the estate and built the current Röhrsdorf Castle on the manor grounds. The castle park was laid out in 1771, and in 1787, the orangery was built with sculptures by Johann Gottfried Knöffler, which were later moved to Gut Gamig. After a fire in 1890, the castle was rebuilt.
