Rudersdorf Castle

Rudersdorf Castle

To be privately owned

History of the Building+

The castle was built in 1750 by Count E. Batthyány. Later, ownership changed to Florian Fischer, the Kornisch family, General Smrecsányi, Lieutenant Breiner, and Hans Mansfeld. In 1890, the two corner towers were erected. After the end of the First World War, the castle became the property of August Sattler. After structural extensions, a mechanical linen weaving mill was housed there (1920). Today, the operation has grown into a significant textile factory, and the castle serves as an administrative building.
