Schatthausen Castle is a historic moated castle in the eponymous district of Wiesloch in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis. It is surrounded by a moat.
History+
The origins of Schatthausen Castle date back to after 1562, when it was built by the von Bettendorff family. It is believed to have been erected on the site of an earlier manor house. The castle underwent several renovations and expansions, including the addition of a farmstead.

Today, Schatthausen Castle is a protected architectural monument and remains in the private ownership of the Göler von Ravensburg family. The three-winged, three-story complex is still surrounded by a water-filled moat.
