Scheibenhardt Castle, once a hunting lodge, is situated on the southwestern edge of Karlsruhe. Its history is intertwined with the Margraves of Baden, and today it serves as a location for art.

History+

The first documented mention of the Scheibenhardt site dates back to 1150. In 1501, the property came into the possession of the Margraviate of Baden. From 1698 onwards, under Franziska Sibylla Augusta, the castle was expanded into a hunting lodge by architects Domenico Egidio Rossi, Johann Michael Ludwig Rohrer, and Franz Ignaz Kromer.
