Bau und frühe Nutzung

The castle was probably built in 1455. In 1766, Prince Ferdinand of Prussia bought the village and estate of Schlagenthin for 100,000 Reichstalers. In 1835, it belonged to Count Harry von Arnim. After the Second World War, the owners were dispossessed, and a machine lending station was set up in the manor. Later, the castle was used as a children's and youth facility. Today, a Christian youth center is located within its walls.
