Schmiding Castle

The first documented mention of the Schmiding estate dates back to 1111, with Menginhart von Polheim named as the owner at that time. After another mention in 1220, documents are silent for about two centuries. In 1415, Duke Albrecht V enfeoffed Heinrich der Ofen with the property, followed by the Innerseers after 1430.
