History+

The origins of the castle date back to the 15th century, with the Barons of Gaisberg-Schöckingen playing a role in the construction and design of the current complex. The castle was repeatedly expanded and rebuilt, which is reflected in the variety of architectural styles. It is an example of the development of aristocratic residential culture in Baden-Württemberg.
