In the Bavarian town of Schönach is Schloss Schönach. It is renowned for its Baroque interior and the Knights' Hall.
History+
The first documented mention of Schloss Schönach dates back to the 12th century. It was originally built by the Lords of Schönach, who owned the estate until the end of the 14th century. Ownership changed hands multiple times; later owners included the Paulsdorfer, Seiboldsdorfer, and Königsfelder families. Around the year 1726, the castle was owned by Count Emanuel von Arco. In 1764, it was acquired by the Counts of Seinsheim. The Baroque interior, created after 1703, was designed by Hans Georg Asam, among others.

Schloss Schönach is currently privately owned. The three-story building with a hip roof houses a Baroque interior, which was created after 1703. The Knights' Hall with its stucco work and wall paintings is noteworthy.
