Schönbrunn Castle
The castle was built in 1688. In 1720, a west wing was added by Baron von Unertl. In 1835, the castle was partially demolished. In 1862, ownership changed to Countess Viktorine von Butler-Haimhausen. From 1863, the castle was used as a home for people with disabilities and as a training center for young girls. Owners included the Lords of Schönbrunn, the Liegsalz family, the Pfundmair family, the Barons von Schmid, Baron von Unertl, the Counts von Piosasque, the Kingdom of Bavaria, Dr. Conrad Pregler, the Traub family, Rittmeister a.D. Zeiß, Martin Forstmair von Buchbach, Georg Schneller, Countess Viktorine von Butler-Haimhausen, the Congregation of the Servants of Divine Providence, and the Franziskuswerk Schönbrunn non-profit GmbH for people with disabilities.
