Schöneck Castle

The building was constructed in 1685 by Giovanni Gaspare Zuccalli for the Lords of Caspis. Originally, the small palace, then called Caspisschlössl, was situated almost directly on the banks of the Salzach river and had its own landing stage. The surrounding fields and meadows were long named Caspisfelder and Caspisau after the structure. Among its residents was the organ and piano builder Ludwig Mooser, who, among other things, restored the Salzburg Cathedral organ. It was later also called Villa Haimerle before finding its current use.
