Schloss Schönhagen is the listed central building of the former manor and current Baltic Sea resort of Schönhagen, which belongs to the municipality of Brodersby. It is located behind the characteristic steep coast of Schönhagen on the Baltic Sea.

The Schönhagen manor was established in 1711 after its separation from the Olpenis manor. From 1712 to 1754, it belonged to the owners of the Loitmark manor and was considered a farm of that estate. In 1712, Schönhagen belonged to Colonel Joachim Dietrich von Dewitz, brother of General Franz Joachim von Dewitz. Afterwards, it came into the hands of changing owners. In 1840, the estate had a size of 1276 tax tons, corresponding to just under 2,500 acres, and had 64 families with a total of 310 inhabitants. Dependents included the village of Höxmark and half of the village of Brodersby, as well as Nordhagen and Kiekut. During the Schleswig-Holstein Uprising from 1848 to 1851, the estate, along with the estates of Carlsburg and Wittmark, formed a popular armed force. Lord of the manor Paul Paulsen Henningsen voted in the "united Schleswig-Holstein Estates Assembly" in April 1848 for the "Insurrection Government" and advocated for "Schleswig's incorporation into Germany" at the "Frankfurt Bundestag".

In 1882, Hermann Jauch (1858-1916) acquired the estates of Schönhagen and Schwonendahl. Jauch was a wealthy scion of the prominent Hamburg bourgeois family Jauch, son of the Hamburg benefactress Auguste Jauch. He expanded the estate through numerous acquisitions to its largest extent of 2,800 acres. In 1889, he had the manor house built in Schönhagen, which is now known as Schloss Schönhagen and is the landmark of the town. His son Erich, from his marriage to Agnes von Witzleben from Hude (Oldenburg), took over the estate after his father's death and had the gatehouse built in 1913 by the architect Ernst Prinz (1878-1974). In the second half of the 1920s, Erich Jauch sold the estate, which formed a manorial district until 1928.

The castle and the gatehouse are registered monuments in the monument list of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district.

Today, Schloss Schönhagen is the central building of a rehabilitation clinic.
