Seeburg Castle in Iseltwald, Canton Bern, now serves as a modern conference and health resort. Originally built as a southern-style villa, it shapes the peninsula at the village entrance.

History+

The history of the current Seeburg Castle begins in 1907. At that time, Bernese merchant Gottfried Siegrist arranged for the demolition of existing buildings on the site and their reconstruction at the village entrance. On the cleared peninsula, he had a new villa built in a southern style. However, shortly after its completion, the villa remained uninhabited.
