A former hunting lodge, Spiegelsberge Castle, stands on the eponymous Spiegelsberge hills near Halberstadt. It has curved gables and an open-air staircase leading to the ballroom on the upper floor. Today, it houses a restaurant.

History+

The construction of Spiegelsberge Castle took place between 1780 and 1782 on a rectangular footprint. Some elements of the building, including the portal on the south side, which provides access to the cellar and displays the coats of arms of Bishop Heinrich Julius and his wives, originate from the dismantled Gröningen Castle.
