Spindlhof Castle is a historic complex in Regenstauf, in the district of Regensburg, Bavaria. It is currently used as a modern conference center.

History+

The origins of Spindlhof lie in an agricultural enterprise of the late 16th century, which also included a mill on the Regen river. A first renovation took place in 1687 under Hans Christoph von Diemantstein. Around 1791, Auxiliary Bishop Valentin Anton von Schneid had an early Classicist chapel built. The castle's current Tudor-style appearance was shaped by renovations between 1894 and 1901, initiated by Emil Freiherr von Zakrzewsky. In 1918, the castle's estate comprised approximately 400 hectares of land.
