Stein Castle

The history of the village can be traced back to the 12th century. From the year 1144, the noble family of Steiner appears in the traditions. On a hill above the village are the remains of the medieval castle. It partially burned down in the 20th century. In the village itself is the former Stein Castle from the 16th century, which was the seat of the manor. The associated castle chapel St. Matthäus dates from the 18th century.
