Early History and Destruction
The castle was owned by the Lords of Homburg until 1566 and was destroyed in 1499 during the Swiss War. After this, the castle was rebuilt. In 1656, ownership transferred to the Lords of Bodman and in 1672 to the Lords Ebinger von der Burg. From 1724-26, the current castle was newly built. Since 1790, the castle has been owned by the Barons of Stotzingen.
