Stülpe Castle
Adam Ernst von Rochow (1705 - 1759) had the dilapidated 16th-century castle replaced by a new building in 1744. In the 19th century, a landscape garden and a rose parterre were laid out behind the castle. Around 1900, the building was renovated.
The von Rochow family was dispossessed with the land reform in 1945. In 1999, a fire destroyed part of the building. However, in 2006, a new owner was found for the property, who immediately began restoration work.
The castle served as a filming location in the movie The Last Station for Yasnaya Polyana, the residence of the Tolstoys.
