In the parish of Odarslöv, not far from Lund, stands Svenstorp Castle, a Renaissance structure and example of late 16th-century architecture in the Skåne region.

History+

The origins of Svenstorp Castle date back to 1596, when Beata Hvitfeldt initiated the construction of the castle in the Renaissance style. In 1669, the estate underwent alterations under its owner Metta Krabbe, née Rosencrantz, which shaped its appearance. A historical episode occurred in 1676, when King Christian V of Denmark resided in the castle. Between 1699 and 1706, the high commissioner Josua Stiernblad owned the castle.
