History+

The medieval main building of the castle was already mentioned around 1140. Owners included the Magenreiter, the Lords of Pelkoven, and the Lords of Hornstein. Teising Castle is a three-story building with a polygonal floor plan, a pyramidal roof, and simple interior furnishings. The castle ensemble includes the St. George Castle Chapel with an altar from around 1700. Also worth seeing is the bulldog collection of the castle owner.
