Thinnfeld Castle, an example of Rococo architecture, is located in the municipality of Deutschfeistritz in the Graz-Umgebung district of Styria, Austria. It was built in the 18th century.

History+

The construction of Thinnfeld Castle took place between 1761 and 1764 under Ferdinand Joseph von Thinnfeld. The patron incorporated his own ideas into the plans of the Graz architect Josef Hueber. The Thinnfeld family, who gained wealth through the ownership of several ironworks, was ennobled in 1731.
