Tiffen Castle, also known as Gschlosser Hube, is an estate in Tiffen, a district of Steindorf am Ossiacher See. Originally a Renaissance building, it has undergone various changes.

History+

The first documented mention of the property dates back to 1560, when Leonhard von Keutschach sold the castle to the brothers Hans and Barthelmeä Khevenhüller. In 1620, it was described as a Renaissance structure. After 1728, the castle passed into farming family ownership, where it has remained to this day. Baroque alterations shaped its appearance, and a fire in 1931 led to further changes.
