Tigring Castle
In the municipality of Moosburg in Carinthia, Austria, is Tigring Castle. It is a 17th-century structure and currently serves as a retirement home.
History+
The origins of Tigring Castle date back to the 1660s, when Johann Ernst Teutenhofen had the current castle built on the site of an existing manor house. Since 1967, the building has served a social function and is used as a district retirement home.

Tigring Castle houses a retirement home. Visitors will find a three-story building with a central risalit. Staircase wings are attached to the north side, while the southern main facade features a raised central section with a triangular gable and painted coat of arms. Inside, ceiling stucco work from 1660 is preserved, depicting, among other things, escutcheons and eagle representations.
