Ullstadt Castle is a moated castle in Ullstadt, built in the 18th century according to the designs of architect Johann Dientzenhofer. Located in the Neustadt a.d.Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Bavaria, it stands as an example of Baroque architecture.

History+

The origins of Ullstadt Castle trace back to an acquisition by Johann Peter von Franckenstein, who took over the property from the Seckendorff family. Between 1718 and 1725, the moated castle was erected on the site of an older structure. The patron was Margarethe von Franckenstein, née von Eyb. Above the main entrance, the coats of arms of the Franckenstein, Cleen, Sachsenhausen, and Eyb families are visible.
