Unterleiterbach Castle, a Baroque castle in Upper Franconia, was built in the 18th century according to the plans of the Bamberg court architect Justus Heinrich Dientzenhofer and is now a privately owned estate.

History+

Between 1737 and 1739, Unterleiterbach Castle was constructed on behalf of Susanne Elisabeth Countess von Brockdorff. It was intended as a dowry for her daughter and was realized according to the plans of Justus Heinrich Dientzenhofer. The building is a rendered structure accented by fine sandstone elements. Since 1956, the castle has been in private ownership; in 1976, an antique shop was opened there, and hotel rooms were also established.
