Vellbrügger Hof Castle (Norf)

Is a stately, former 'Rittergut' (manor house) with an imposing residential tower over 850 years old and a large, square courtyard complex built later. The building complex is on the list of the Rhenish Office for Monument Protection. The Vellbrüggen Tower is found as the main motif in the coat of arms of the formerly independent municipality of Norf. Until the end of the 1980s, the estate was used as a farm (families: von Waldthausen, Graf von Pfeil). Since then, the former residential buildings attached to the tower have served as a company headquarters. The courtyard buildings and stables have been converted for residential purposes.
