Wain Castle, a neoclassical castle built at the end of the 18th century, is located in the municipality of Wain in the Biberach district.

History+

The construction of Wain Castle took place in 1780 and 1781. The builder was Baron Johann Theobald von Herman, with the castle realized by Eitelfriedrich Knoll based on designs by the Munich court architect Lorenzo Quaglio. It originally served as a residence for the von Herman family, though their main residence was in Memmingen. The interior rooms of the castle underwent several changes during the 18th and 19th centuries.
