Schloss Wedendorf+
Geschichte+
Wedendorf is first mentioned in a document in 1255 as being owned by Johann von Bülow. In 1680, ownership passed to Andreas Gottlieb von Bernstorff, who had the baroque castle built in 1697 on the walls of the old fortress.
In 1805, the castle was rebuilt in the Neoclassical style by the Berlin architect Friedrich Rabe. In 1931, ownership passed to Consul Hagen from Lübeck. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. After this, the castle served as a school. In 1992, ownership passed to Katharina Haupt-Bernrieder, who renovated the castle.
