Wehrden Castle, a historical structure, is located in Wehrden, a district of Beverungen in the Höxter district, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is known for its Baroque architecture and its connection to a noble family.

History+

The origins of the current castle trace back to an older moated castle. Starting in 1696, Hermann Werner von Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht commissioned the master builder Ambrosius von Oelde to construct the present manor house. In the 19th century, the building received an elegantly curved gable above the three central window axes.
