In the village of Würmlach is Weildegg Castle, also known as Waldegg. The Renaissance castle has fortress-like architecture with four corner towers and today serves as a venue for cultural events.

The origins of Weildegg Castle date back to 1537, when Hieronymus Weyland the Elder, a councilor and merchant from Villach, transformed an existing manor into a Renaissance castle. The property is now owned by the Aichwalder family. A large hall within the castle features painted coats of arms of the Kulmer and Gängel-Ehrenwert families from 1648, located above the eastern and western entrance gates.

Weildegg Castle is situated in Würmlach, a district of the municipality of Kötschach-Mauthen in the Hermagor district of Carinthia, Austria, at an elevation of approximately 699 meters above sea level.
