Weiterdingen Castle is located in Hilzingen-Weiterdingen in the district of Konstanz. Built in the late 17th century, it is a striking example of Baroque architecture in the region.

History+

The construction of Weiterdingen Castle took place in 1683 by Balthasar Ferdinand Freiherr von Hornstein. Originally designed as a four-story building with nine axes and a gabled roof, it features a cruciform floor plan and three-axis central risalits on both sides. In 1855, due to financial difficulties of the von Hornstein family, the estate was foreclosed.
